I grew up in a small town outside of Lake Tahoe, Ca. It was a awesome place to grow up because we were so close to the Mountains and all the activies that they offered. Playing sports as a kid was super fun, but I was always interested in extreme sports like Motocross, Bmx, Skateboarding, Climbing, Slacklining, Skiing and Snowboarding. At a young age I met the NV/HC kids who were all rising athletes in the FMX world. I started hanging out with these kids every minute I wasn't at school. They were always having fun doing what they loved. Riding with there friends in the Hills or riding 50's on a mini motocross track they built in there backyards. They just loved being on dirtbikes all the time and I knew that was exactly what I wanted, except on my skis.  Thats when I sold my dirtbike for a truck to become a ski bum.

I joined the High School Race Team to better my ski and also to get out of school to go ski. I was slowly becoming addicted. While I was on the ski team I met all kinds of Freestyle skier who were into hitting cliffs and jumps. It caught my attention so I started following them hitting all the cliffs we could find or hitting any little jump we found. Then I soon met JJ Schiller a local kid who I went to High School with and also a skier who like to catch air anytime he could.  JJ Schiller soon introduced me to the Illumatic Freeride Team and Kirkwoods Freeride Team. Where I started chancing some of my biggest influences down the mountain. Kirkwood was a amazing place to grow up skiing. You can ride to the top, hit the cournice, all the chutes and cliffs on the way down. Then straight to the park for some tricks. But then you would ride the chair back to the top where you would then try that trick you learned in the park out of a natural air or cliff. It's been incredible being a witness to some of the things that go on out at Kirkwood.
